Stock exhaust with catted DP vs catback

I have the Ark Performance DT-S catback exhaust for my hatch and I love the sound and everything. Problem is I got pulled over in Vancouver couple nights ago and got issued a VI for loud exhaust noises.

I have since reverted back to stock but I feel like it's too quiet and I would like to hear some sound when I downshift. Would getting a catted downpipe be too loud compared to full on catback exhausts??

A catted DP paired with the stock exhaust will be slightly quieter than the catback, but since it's not visible you will likely be able to get by without any issues. We know that 27won's DP retains the factory heat shield so it will appear as stock if you are asked to lift your hood for further inspection
