Steering wheel crunch/squeak

I’ve seen a couple threads about this but most seem to be related to people hearing noises after suspension work, i’m completely stock at 3,200 miles and in parking lots/driveways i hear an annoying crunch/squeak coming from what sounds like steering column, anyone got any info on this or experienced something similar?

Yes, I'm completely stock too at about 5,800 miles now. I sometimes hear creaking like plastic parts on the steering column rubbing together....I think.

I’m going to buy some wd40 silicon lubricant spray and get up in the column and try to spray down any of the joints, i’ll let you know if it works at all
