So the one thing that’s annoying that I can’t wrap my head around is I can go out start the car but then I can’t lock it with the remote or door button, only by taking the key out and manually putting it in the lock.... why is this? If I push the button on remote I obviously have the key and if I push the door lock either I have the key or it’s in the car neither scenario would lock me out of the car, any workaround to this?

I don't get it either and it's very annoying. The car knows when the key is not inside. It should know it's ok to lock.

Exactly my thought! Wish Honda would release a flash that would allow you to lock the car!

Pretty annoying yes, I'm also wondering why Honda failed to do that.
