Just received confirmation that the two SSR GTX01 wheels in 5x120 clear the Civic Type R Brembos! There are two sizes and two finishes available so it gives you the choice of a few setups. The GTX01 are the latest wheels from SSR and they utilize their FFT-R technology, which is their fancy name for high quality Flow Formed Cast Wheels.

SSR GTX01:
  • 19 x 8.5 +38mm Dark Silver with Semi Concave Face - 21.45 lbs - $423 per Wheel
  • 19 x 8.5 +38mm Flat Black with Semi Concave Face - 21.45 lbs - $423 per Wheel
  • 19 x 9.5 +38mm Dark Silver with Concave Face (Shown in picture above) - 22.66 lbs - $441 per wheel
  • 19 x 9.5 +38mm Flat Black with Concave Face - 22.66 lbs - $441 per wheel
  • 19 x 9.5 +38mm Blue Gunmetal with Concave Face - 22.66 lbs - $470 per wheel
OEM wheels are 29.1 lbs so these are much lighter. Paired with the right tires you will be able to stay at or reduce the overall wheel/tire weight!

I don't see the 19 x 9.5 +38mm Dark Silver with Concave Face (face C) on your website.

Found fitment of 19x8.5 +38 on the FK2, similar fender clearance and the same Brake clearance if I'm not mistaken

EDIT: Wheels are actually 19x8.5 +38, thank you dastanli for making me double check with SSR

The sti with the same spec looks so much more concave. The type r and bmw looks almost flat faced. Wonder why that is. I really want some wheels with some decent concave.

I'll double check, but it may be a matter of picture angles.

SSR corrected themselves, the pictures are in fact 19x8.5 +38 so Face A which is the flattest face!

Damn, well, thank you for confirming for me. Really appreciate it, man! Wish they made some nice concave with +38. So is the specs for the sti correct than?

The specs are indeed the ones on the STI! It's the most concave in 19's for these wheels.

SSR is investing into the Civic Type R with a new finish on their 19x9.5 +38 5x120 GTX01

It's called Blue Gunmetal and I think it's absolutely gorgeous. We are accepting pre-order so if you like let me know!
