yea its not so bad here in the flower city for us CBP owners, especially if you can keep it hidden in a garage during the few weeks we get bad pollen.

Wait, another Rochester local??

I had a CeramicPro Silver application done by a shop that that is well-trained and that does a two step correction prior...... 20 plus years of using Griot's products, and I have no complaints using their products for follow up cleaning and detailing.

Just to see what they can do, I purchased a bottle of the Ethos Pro Shine. Thank you @Sport-injected for the extra discount. I, too, have been using a lot of different brands, Adam's, CG, Griots, Aero Cosmetics and each has some decent results. I always have something from Griots as I know their products and get consistently good results. Looking forward to seeing what Ethos can do. Hoping it will work out with my Aegean Blue.

Just finished clay bar, cut polish and coating my rear bumper and trunk lid.

Cut with chemical guys C4, polish chemical guys, P4. Mixed up the coating for experimental purposes.

Trunk lid- ethos ceramic wax,
Left side of bumper- turtle wax graphene infused paste wax
Right side of bumper- ethos graphene matrix.

Will see how they compare in shine, water beading, ease of cleaning, and longevity.

Have to say the trunk lid (ethos ceramic wax) has the best shine so far and has the slickest feel, followed by the right bumper (ethos graphene matrix), close behind is the left side of bumper (turtle wax graphene infused paste wax).

You'll find all kinds of opinions about these but in my experience they cause swirl marks. My best friend owns his own car detailing business. Now he only does exotic cars and he cringes at the thought of using these because of the parrafin wax (candle wax).

I use a waterless wash every 4-5 days on my garaged Civic and Vette. If I miss a week I spray them down with a pressure nozzle and wipe dry using the same waterless wash as a drying agent. Smooth as glass with no swirl marks.

Your car is beautiful (I have the same color on the Si) so I'm thinking you're using the CD properly with a minor, minor, MINOR amount of dust. Seems like people are moving away from the CD's because of the quality waterless wash and quick detail products that are on the market these days.

Correct if it is thick dust I won't touch it. And I have had issues on past cars with grit or other foreign objects getting in the duster and causing scratches, so it definitely needs to be used with caution and can potentially do more harm than good. I like to use it to remove light dist before spray-detailing, but if anything more than light loose dust a wash or waterless wash is necessary.

You are right. they cause swirl marks. I have experienced it myself. So be careful. I have also run a car detailing business for the last 5 years. we do both exterior and interior car detailing. We provides the best services and many business entity owners prefer to visit us.

If used incorrectly they can do more bad then good. I still use mine often, I don't use pressure just drape the fibers lightly and pull. Very anal about storage as well so no debris is picked up which will also cause damage. So far hasn't done anything negative to my cars finish.
