Sports exhaust noise

Civic hatchback sports turbo. Want to do the opposite to most people. Would like to get rid of sporty exhaust sound. Is the sound completely in the exhaust system or also in the turbo. So,, change car or can I replace parts of the exhaust system. Or complete exhaust change?

You could always add a Vibrant Ultra Quiet or similar but I can't say I've ever seen anyone that wanted to accomplish this before.

A stock 2.0na and a stock 1.5t sedan or coupe do indeed sound different. But the difference is very minimal. If you don’t want any noise what so ever, should have gotten a Tesla.

Can't say I've ever noticed it either but Honda does brag about the exhaust on the Sport hatchbacks a bit.

First thing I did the very day I got my Hatch was cut off the resonator and welded a piece of SS pipe in its place (even used SS wire and argon sheild gas. IMHO to me, looks as if Honda used regular non SS weld/wire even though the exhaust is entirely SS.)
I couldn't hear to shift gears. Find it's just perfect now and only cost me $50. Zero regrets
