Curious how you like that trans fluid. I use Mobil 1 full synth for the engine, and it seems to be working perfectly.

...and also curious as so how you like that new snail. 🐌 😄
I will let you know on both!

I've used only Mobil 1 for engines for the last 20+ years never had issues. I used Mobil 1 trans fluid in previous cars first time using it on the civic. It was brought to my attention that this trans fluid might not be the best fit for the Honda, so I am considering going back to redline which I was previously running.

Hmm, I wonder why? 🤷🏼 Anywho, thanks for the heads-up.

Our cars call for a gl-4 fluid, the Mobil that i used is gl-5 which is more for harder internals, like heavy duty rear axles. I've used redline MTL or MT-80/90 in my vw back in the day and always had good luck, I just changed out the redline with the Mobil 1. I don't want to risk doing any damage with the gl-5 Mobil, I do want to stay at a slightly heavier weight for hotter weather and harder driving, so I canceled the redline MTL and ordered the Redline MT-90.

Our cars call for 75-80w, I'm going to use 75-90 just slightly higher weight.

All done. @VargasTurboTech installed TIP in, all lines hooked back up. Uploaded the start IMW tune file, did a few quick start and shut off to get the oil to move through the system. After first fire, checked oil, added .5qt more and checked for oil/coolant leaks. Found none thankfully!

Now to see if I can help @Jason Baker find some wire colors. Then test drive.

Any reason as to not monitor fuel trims? Personally my knock and LTFTs have been higher post 27won RACE basemap than the previous TSP1+. LTFT fluctuates slightly but hovers at +4/5. Knock sits at .61. Either way, chocking it up to it being very hot out recently.

And you make me regret not getting the GC+ and riding it out until my block is built. I’m just not as gutsy as you lol

I don't monitor fuel trims because I can't really do anything about it, and the car runs fine so I don't like geeking out on data too much. I like to watch the knock to make sure it drops, it has settled now to .49 since driving more today which is where it usually is. Iat 1+2, coolant 1+2 is what I like to monitor, I usually cant see boost target since I'm paying attention to the road when flooring it but nice to have up there.

I have a 6-panel with Boost, AFR, the two IATs, Knock and LTFT. At a glance, it's a good snapshot of info.

How do you feel about fuel trims. I’m more in agreeance with Sport. I feel like we can’t really help change that metric. What’s the info good for? Like my AFR is perfect 14.7 but the fuel trims are higher. I’m moving towards it’s fine

I would agree, but I do think we have *some* degree of control over fuel trims, like not installing a VTA BOV. 🤣 But, no, yeah, I think I know what y'all mean. I keep it up there as a quick metric of performance.

Got some time in the sweat shop tonight for a few little projects. Switched the mobil 1 trans fluid to redline mt-90, replace the garbage spline lugs with projectkics r40 with floating seat, finally installed the 3mm hub centric spacers on rear wheels to match the front. Made a few small dampening adjustments to the silvers 2-way coilovers while I had the wheels off.

Note: the floating seat lugs torque so much smoother, I feel the torque is at a true 80ft lbs now without the added friction of the lugs on the wheels.
