So I F'd up my exhaust (and bumper and lip and ect), and the quote says it's about 1400$ to replace. Well the stock exhaust is junk, imo. So what do you recommend I replace it with? I was looking at the magnaflow, but youtube videos don't do any exhaust justice. I want "makes you smile" loud, but not "wake the neighborhood" loud.

I had the original Thermal R&D exhaust as they used my car to develop it. I've had their exhausts on 3 out of 4 of my Civic's and love them every time. Going to put it back on this hatch as I traded my 17 for a 20 and kept the exhaust.

I’m very happy with my OEM Type R exhaust. It’s not louder than stock, but sounds different. I mainly wanted the increased flow with the larger diameter pipe and straighter flow path, not so concerned with being louder.

I’m running the GReddy exhaust, and love it. Although with lowering springs the exhaust sits a little lower and sometimes scraps on steep driveways or speed bumps (no damage to the tips tho)

EX hatch? Type R exhaust won’t fit an EX Hatchback. The rear chassis is different

What's different between an ex hatch and a sport hatch?

I've heard the borla is on the quieter side, and videos don't show it being much louder than stock, even though it sounds better.

None really. I mean besides the obvious stiffer ride, which is expected, it’s not bad at all unless you hit a dip or pothole
