Was a spring compressor required to swap the rear springs?

You won't need a spring compressor for the rear. The rear pop out easy, just loosen up the lower control arm bolt closest to the wheel and the sway bar bolt and drop the control arm and you'll be able to pop it out. Just use a jack to put everything back together.

Not to resurrect an old thread, but just wanted to share that I appreciate the original post and the suggestions from the community through out. This helped this new owner complete my install on my own.

one thing I did (judgement free zone) to help me not struggle as much with the front was that I jacked up the front control arm to compress the spring. I then used heavy duty zip ties while compressed to hold the compression. I know this could be dangerous, but thankfully it held. Ultimately helping this weak “do it yourselfer” be able to complete on his own.
