interested as well hate the new trend of no spare tires in new cars. An Airpump and basically fix a flat are not going to help if there is a hole or gash in the sidewall. Honestly I think this is because most people do not know how to change a tire anymore. And in the other case people think you can ride on the donut for hundreds of miles at 80mph.

I prefer to have a spare tire and change it myself in half an hour or so and keep on.....without it I will have to wait for road assistant + the tow truck or whatever....by the time it will fix it will pass hours :banghead:

No way I will let this happened to me.....

Same. Even including always changing the rear to the front if the front goes flat esp with the limited slip doesn't bother me at all. Always changing tires have summer and winter takes me about 15 mins to change all 4 with the floorjack. Road side assistance takes too long and just further pisses me off after knowing the cost of the new tire and annoying waste of time at the tire shop remounting the tire that takes all of a half an hour at most somehow turns into a 3 hour job.

I'm sure a standard civic spare will fit. Obviously if your front tire blows you will have to move a type r wheel to the front and put the spare in the back because the spare won't clear the front brakes

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the '12 TL has the same bolt pattern 5x120 and uses M14 nuts, just not sure about bore size. i plan on ordering the spare for a TL as an experiment, if i ever get my R :( part #42700-TK4-A51

Not only are you on side of road, waiting for truck, gotta get towed to a dealer or repair place that is open. Then if open pray they have a tire that fits this and the machine to put it on. People are not gonna keep tires in stock for a car they may or may not see one of ever. A flat is gonna cost you days not hours.

Called this problem in today, no spare but my dealer said 300 for the stock tire and 700 for the stock rim. Also looking into after market options since it is just a spare.

Yeah I got same answer. There is no spare made by honda. Only option it a 5th stock wheel and tire. 1000 dollar spare.
