Here's the info from the post you linked for those flashing brake lights. Looks like it's only for Type R/Hatchback. Are you saying you've tried them in your sedan and they also work?Edit 2/22: automated the form! If the form is closed im out of stock. If the form is open, it's available!

I was able to source the Honda OEM connectors and terminals to put together a plug 'n play flasher module for the third brake light.
This will flash your third brake light using one of 16 patterns available. Here is a video with all the different modes:

At one point the guy open the form for both platforms Sedan and hatchback, my car was the civic sport sedan and It was installed in that car until I sold it.
