Hey folks have a 2016 auto non turbo 2 litre

Two sounds that have been bothering me since day 1 and curious to hear feedback and see if it's normal.

  1. On light throttle + low rpms , say under 2k , especially on cold starts there's an interesting growl or rattle or vibration I hear , almost sounds like a wet sound lol, when revving.
  2. This one is more for curiosity but I hear a very interesting spacey hum which sounds like the car booting up every once in a while. Definitely right after turning on but whole driving too.

And yes it's not the direct injection sound (re: #1) although I can hear the injectors clicking when idle at a red light radio off etc.

How cold is it there? ;) My Mitsubishi 6G72 (3.0L V6) used to growl/groan/vibrate when it was extremely cold out. It went away when it warmed up and didn't do it when it was just "cold", but REALLY cold. It never seemed to cause any harm, but the way it sounded when it was like -15°C or colder was such a deep tone and the vibration was audible only - it didn't run rough.
