If it makes you feel any better, to my eye at least, the hood on this S3 is a more bronze color than the rest of the car.

For some reasons the gray or silver tone color tends to absorb the colors from its surrounding. You will see bronze in SGP hood as well in the evening, and the color on the hood tends to get lighter in tone during the day. The color on the hood and upper bumper piece will never come close because of the differences in angles.
