I just got the Civic about less than a month ago and two weeks later a guy crashes his car into a car that was behind mine launching my car about 30 feet is my car totaled? I know it’s hard to see because I don’t know what internal damage it received and I haven’t heard from the insurance yet whether it will be fixed or not cause at this point I don’t want a car that will have an accident on it’s record or if the damage is minimal to where the insurance will fix it what do you guys think

I am a general mechanic not a body guy but I would say no not totaled. Its gonna be several thousands in body work though so I hope he had insurance or you had uninsured motorist coverage. That sucks dude. I'm sorry.

Lucky the air bags didn't pop that is always a pain in the ass. Yea second the if there is no frame damage but I kind of doubt it judging by the extent of the damage on your rear bumper. You may need a new crash bar but I would say more than likely a new bumper and maybe some fenders the quarter panels look okay in the pictures and do not see any damage to the hatch. Make sure you take it to a good body shop and demand genuine OEM replacement parts.

Judging by the truck and red car, that dude was cruising fast. They know the cause? That seems to be a bit more than just didn’t brake in time. As for totaled, I’d say probably not unless there’s frame damage under the number/hatch. Looks like the red car took the brunt of it, you’ll need a new back end/hatch, but probably won’t cost enough to total out.
Yea I was just wondering cause I don’t know if it affected my car cause it was pushed more than 30 feet with the e brake and I don’t know if that affects the car the truck driver was going at 50 miles per hour and was looking for his phone
