I have money down on a 2020 Si, and will need a winter wheel/snow tire set. I could use the 17" OZs from my Sport, and trade it in wearing my 16" winter wheel set. Not sure how much that'll affect trade-in vs trading it wearing the 17 OZs. Or trading it in with both sets.

Question is the OZs are 8" wide, and I prefer a narrower wheel for snow tires - I could use 225 width, but that doesn't leave much tire sidewall to protect the wheels, and I usually go 215 or narrower for snow tires so they don't float on the snow.

Anyone use 225s on 8" wheels for winter? If that's not a good setup I can just private sale the Sport where having two sets might help the value.

I run 225’s on 17x7 steelies. You could probably get away with 8” as mine bulge quite a bit on the 7”.

Yep I run 225 on the OEM 8'' wheels during winter and its a perfect fit in my opinion, nothing bad to say about this setup, I run the Yokohama Iceguard IG53 and its perfect in the snow

Thanks, so there's still some sidewall to protect your wheels? I like the 235 width tires on my OZs and there'd be 5 mm less tire sticking out on 225s.
