Smog Checking ECU in California

I just found out starting July 19, 2021, from the BAR site. Smog checks will now involve the ECU for illegal tunes.

That and drive it for a few days before smog check. Don't flash it to stock on the same date as smog check; it'll fail.

Not if you know what you are doing. Although, just doing it a few days before and driving it is simpler.

To be honest, I don’t know what I’m doing. Is there another way to pass smog for a flashed ECU?

I think hes talking about the having to drive for a few days part.

every readiness test has certain speed ranges/procedures to make it ready that if you know what is required, theres no need for you to drive it a few days and can get it ready fairly fast.

Please explain to me how to set readiness on emissions stuff in less than 60-80 miles? Literally just went through this mess.

It’s covered in the owners manual IIRC. Or google for general directions

None of us have to worry about this until at least 2024/2025 lol

that being said, can i run a race maf prl cai on a stock tune and pass smog? I believe so :s
