Don’t know if this is normal or not, but when running through the gears into redline, I get a slight whine sound similar to the sound of a power steering pump that’s low of fluid or dare I say a supercharger whine. Is this normal? 2018 si

Sound sorta like a high-revving egg beater? It’s probably just gear whine, which can be pretty noticeable when running lower viscosity tranny fluid, like the OE fill.

Yeah similar to that, but I have amsoil. I think it’s most pronounced in 3rd gear up

That sounds about right.

You’ll notice, the faster he goes, the louder the gear whine. FYI helical gears basically work the same way, just not as loud.
