I think as long as it's a decent company that makes the springs, its just fine. I've been using different types of Eibach springs, whether they be pro-kits, or ERS (used to have them on my Ground Control coilovers when I had a crx, and currently on my Ohlins in my evo X). I've have been really happy with them. Tried a pair of Swift springs about two years ago paired with koni yellows on my 08 hybrid civic and loved them too, but didnt find them noticeably different than the Eibach's I had prior.

I'm not going to say coilovers suck, but I absolutely have never cared for are japanese coilovers. For the way I drive on the street or track, they are more often than not too stiff and have a lot higher spring rates up front. As a result, I get less grip and the ride quality gets worse. I get the sense they are designed for very well maintained public roads that seldom is a reality for those of us in North America. Or maybe they their customer base is for those want their car to look cool more than drive well.

How are you CV boots holding up (I've seen multiple posts from hatchbacks, etc where the CV boot tears shortly after lowering) and how much do you think its affecting the dampers longevity wise? How much different is the ride compared to stock.

Well here are the skunk2 springs installed on my coupe Si

Not being a dink, but straight up sir, youre eibachs will fail you in the end as well. They are just springs. And while the springs themselves wont really fail you exceot for sagging overtime (ask me how i know) but what they will do is eventually blow your struts and if you replace with oem it will happen again down the road. Only way to truly run springs and get the true benefits is with a afternarket strut combo such as tokico or billstein etc. So effectively eibachs fail you cause they will cost you in the end. Thats why its so much more beneficial to just go with full coilovers. You get precise height adjustment control, dampening controls, and best part is you have your oem struts and springs intact in good shape to put back on when you sell or trade in. Again not being rude lol, jus sayn, those eibachs will sag and fail overtime by desteoying struts and costing you $$$! Besides truth be told eibachs are not the best, swifts are, and i hate giving swift that title cause honestly imo their drop sucks! You almost cant tell you dropped it. Appearance wise!! But drivingwise, WOW! But i still always liked eibachs more because much better drop! Lol Another great brand is Progress Technology. Very nice springs.
I'll bite, how will they fail him? I've had three different brands and eibach were the best so far on my EK hatch. They are made to work with stock struts and shocks I'm pretty sure.

I’ve had eibachs on 8th gen SI, my s2000 and 9th gen si. Never had any issues regarding failure or sagging on any of my cars. I don’t buy it. Just my personal opinion ;)

Go towards the end of this video, it gives you an idea of what you’d get with the Skunk2’s. (Not my car)
