Recently I've noticed that only sometimes on a cold morning start that my car will shoot a puff of white smoke as soon as the engine cranks. Smells like oil honestly. But once started no more smoke. And also no smoke when driving. Anyone noticed this on thier si. 2017 civic si k tuner 21 psi tune cobra cold air

If the car isn't consuming oil (burning oil) when reading the dipstick, and the oil doesn't seem fuel diluted, I wouldn't read too much into this.

I hope it's not fucjed, but it rarely happens. And it doesn't seem to be consuming oil

Seems like leaking valve guides/seals

I figured I would just keep monitoring. I'll keep everyone posted. I do my oil changes every 3500k so it's hard to notice oil loss. Call me crazy but it seems to blow more smoke when I idle for 10-20 mins then shut down let it sit for 8+hrs (work) then start it... puff. But let's say I get to work and shut it down without idling forever. It wont do it. Doesnt smoke after sitting in traffic stopped or anything. So not valve seals....

I think it has to do something with the fuel dilution aspect and maybe injectors not being the best in a 2017...

K cntrl stays. 49. I have a theory that maybe it's just a small amount of oil being burned that sits on cylinder side walls.
