I saw you guys met on the weekend! I'll definitely be out and about more when this all settles down :)

Agreed, 27won makes a stellar exhaust system - one of, if not the smoothest turboback setups for this platform. I have the 27won Catted DP with my AWE FP and Catback because @Thusee and I can't always go the same route, and it also sounds terrific. Trades some of the smoothness for extra rumble, but no rasp!

Hopefully by the time everything blows over I'll have the ACT Clutch in, and the boatload of parts I've been stacking over the winter. Then we can all properly meet up :D

Review:
The one thing that was lacking with this car for me was driver experience, emotion and feedback. The motor mount exhaust and intake so far have done a great job of adding more of those things that were lacking for me. Midrange is more meaty, shifts are smoother, wheel hop is completely eliminated, and that exhaust.... Hands down one of the best if not the best Full catless system on the market, period. Its not stupidly loud, its more quiet than I expected when just cruising around. When on WOT though exhaust note really opens up and it does sound pretty damn good No Raspiness like other aftermarket caltess dp,fp exhaust combinations. There is some drone but with the exhaust breaking in now, its not too crazy at all. Turn up the music and its completely eliminated.

This was taken when i met up with @Thusee and other 10thgen Ontario club members. If you haven't you go check out his super clean build. Also check out my other clean canadian build buddy. @CanadiaegeanBlue Go check out Unity Performance while your at it for those side markers ( and other performance parts) which i still have yet to pick up and now he is sold out :(

Was definitely nice driving the catless setup since I was debating going catless as well, and honestly the sound difference wasn't that much noticeable between catted and catless so definitely something i'll be looking into later on to get rid of that last bit of restriction in my build haha. Finally nice to see another dedicated build with quality parts!

HAHA Yes! Lets see how the ACT does compared to the R, would be an amazing alternative.

Can’t go wrong with the AWE at all from what ive heard on video it sounds pretty good. Im curious to see how yours sounds in person because phone microphones never really do an exhaust justice haha. But hopefully we can do more meetups this summer.

Likewise man it was definitely nice seeing yours. The 27won turbo is night and day over the o.e, even on half throttle, that thing will be quick once the clutch goes in and a tune.

Thought I would take the time to update this build log. First off was HFP side skirts and the 2020 civic front & rear bumper garnish and OEM black Honda emblems supplied by @Thusee for a more updated look. The front was quite simple, the front garnish can be removed with a plastic panel popper. The rear bumper needs to be cut for the garnish to fit. Pictures of the install below:

Next up was the 27won intercooler. With it being the largest core available for the 1.5t, it was a no brainer when making this purchase. With the core being black with the white 27won stencil, it really complemented the front facia. Fitment was definitely tight, See Below for Pics:

Next up was a bit of maintenance. Drivers side cv boot was leaking so decided to replace that. Seeing as how the axle had to come out it only made sense to replace transmission fluid, and do engine oil as well. A local here is a dealer of Amsoil so I went with synchromesh instead of oem, along with the signature series engine oil. Adjustable ball joints were also installed courtesy of @Unity Performance (full driving review will come later). The quality of these balljoints is top notch. Install is fairly straightforward. I had to remove the rotor from the axle and strut assembly completely in order to remove the balljoint. See below for pics:

Next up is the wheel setup. Went with Rays Gram Light 57dr in Gun Blue II. I was a bit skeptical of how these at first, but the colour combination has really grown on me. Tires are firestone firehawk indy 500 245/40/18, great budget and daily tire.

Scroll down for pics and check out my favourite local si builds @drckaglr @Thusee
