The problem I'm seeing is the boot staying up and having to buy the locking nut as the sport has the plastic clip lock system instead. I don't mind buying the nut but i'm not sure how i feel about rigging the shift boot to stay up. Supposidly Non Si shift boots are held up by a different type of locking system

Really? I’ve seen sports have Si knobs no issue

Knob is a direct swap and boot should stay up.

came across this video here, let me take my Shifter apart tomorrow and see if that plastic clip is removable from the stock shift knob so the boot will attach to it. If it does, ill make a decision and you got yourself a deal, ill buy that locking nut to make it work on my own.
