Si chin spoiler installer

I have a 2017 Civic Si Coupe I bought a front rally red chin spoiler from the local Honda dealership
then I had it painted green to match the car. I ask the dealership to install it, and was told an hour labor to install it. They called later and say they could not install it, Honda engineers said they stop selling the spoiler and they could not install my part. I saw the part on another car at a different dealership. Anyone had this happen and what if I install it myself

Maybe that dealer did not want to install any part they did not order as a liability? Just speculating. Go to another dealer or a body shop and the will do it for you.

They won't install it because there's no official instructions to install it. It's a liability issue on their part. I called Honda directly and they said those dealerships shouldn't be installing it at all.
