Any ideas what the 0-60 will be? Do you think it will be under 6.3 seconds?

I hope so or at least around there if they want to separate the Si trim from the other 1.5T offerings :hmm: The 8th Gen Si I think was 6.2 and the 9th Gen Si might have been 6.3?o_O

It will depend where Honda sets the rev limit. If it can make it to 60 in 2nd gear, I think 6.0 seconds is very possible.

If you plug in the gear ratios including final drive and tire diameter in a calculator, shifting at 7000RPM pegs second gear at 43 MPH, so you still need to reach for 3rd to get to 60 so it will probably be around 6.3~ ish seconds, maybe quicker depending on the launch and shift action by the driver.

Can you show me how you came up with that? That seems way off.

The gearing calculator I used shows 58mph at redline at the top of 2nd gear.

Something is off here.

Here's a 2.0L and 1.5L 6MT showing about 57 MPH in 2nd gear. The gear ratios and final drive ratio are all the same.

Did you use the correct tire diameter of 25.4" instead of the wheel diameter of 18" when calculating?

I think I figured it out. You must've entered 2.80 instead of 2.08 for 2nd gear.

Here you go.

Honda Civic 10th gen Si 0-60? tire

Honda Civic 10th gen Si 0-60? speed

EDIT: There is a typo in the tire size (should be 235 instead of 234), but it isn't significant enough to affect the results.

A 6,800 rpm rev limit would allow it to hit 60mph in 2nd gear.

Ooh i used the flat 18in for tire diameter and yes, a 7000rpm limit, my mistake. Yeah, just a bit more revs and it can hit 60 in second gear. So close!

The specifications state the redline is 6,500 RPM. The fuel cutoff is sometimes higher. Is this the case for the 1.5T?

For example, the redline in the 2012 Civic Si was 7,100 RPM, but fuel cutoff did not occur until 7,400 RPM.

If it could hit 6,724 RPM, you'd have your 60 MPH in second gear. Or, you could use a 26.6" diameter tire. :)

Last gen did it in 6.5 I'm expecting about the exact same numbers. Possibly as good as 6.0 Seconds...

6.3 feels so slow too. Hope it can clock in at 6. The Type R hasn't been revealed yet on its 60 time right? I'm guessing that's probably low 5s.
