I ended pulling the trigger and going with the Sphereology from Raceseng thanks to @SecretAgentDannyBeans.

Wanted to have the etching be red instead of the knob, so I meticulously applied enamel metallic red paint within the grooves. Was a huge PITA, and took two hours, but totally worth it in the end!

Also, a special thanks to Jarrett at Raceseng, who helped me figure out how to bring my ideas to fruition in terms of design and color.
How did you install yours with the 10x1.5 adapter for it to screw on tight without pushing the boot down and falling? I received mine today and installed it but had to screw the boot collar all the way down, then screw two nuts down to act as spacers, then finally the adapter and knob. Without doing it this way the bottom of the knob would just push down the boot collar. Now the knob sits a bit too high, I want it to sit as low as possible. Any thoughts?

For anyone who’s replaced the shift boot is there a better alternative than to staple back the boot on to the plastic?

95° outside.
Stock shift knob gets pretty hot even with a sock on it.
Think Boomba is the way to go but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
Don’t really want to spend $100 on a knob but don’t think I have a choice.

:( I thought white was a neutral color? I get what you are saying. I did not want to just get black and blend in. I initially ordered red but it was a 3 week backorder. I waited 3 weeks and was given another 3 week backorder. IMO the red would match the stitching but stand out even more. The white pulls in the imitation silver CF print on the seats quite well. It also reminds me of the old Hurst shifters.

Let me know if you want a another pic. I didn't think the install was hard. Boomba has a install video.

Only thing I really didn't like was cutting the shift boot because now if I want a different shift knob I have to buy a new boot.

I like the feel of it. The feel of it reminds me of the oem leather knob. I really liked the oem knob but it was just to light for me.

I wanted something temperature neutral so that's a huge bonus for me. I just wish it was at least 1lb.

I don't feel that it made the throws any shorter. I think it sits at about the same height as the oem knob.

I like the way it looks but I'm doing a white/black theme in my car so thats part of why i like the way it looks.
