That is a slick shift knob. Any chance you have a link? I can't seem to find it.

That's the one I got. After using it for a month or so (and it warming up) I will have to take back that it does indeed get hot (it's metal) but not nearly as much as a black shift knob does. I ended up getting the Acuity boot collar but haven't had any time/motivation to install it.
Also a bit early to tell but I feel part of it may be flaking (very little chip on it) so the build quality isn't the best.

Thanks for letting me know. The AZ heat is already getting up there, trying to find one that stays relatively cool.

You'll need either the retainer or the collar/retainer. I neglected to buy one when I got my Stratose, and I absolutely love the knob, but my shift boot isn't attached, which ruins the look and feel. I just placed a second order to get a retainer because it was cheaper than the collar. The Civic takes a threaded adapter.
Sorry for the late and possibly dumb question. But what exactly is the difference between the collar and the retainer for shift knobs? Just learning about them.

Wowza, posted this 2.5 years ago... really love this knob, and would 100% recommend it after all this time!

It has faded a bit over time, anyone know how to restore the Gloss? Also looking at new options just to change it up, and perhaps have one with the shift pattern so going through this thread to see what I like :)

Was thinking about getting this. How is it with hot temps outside?

After 3 years of loving the Mishimoto Carbon Fiber Shift Knob, I finally found another knob that I've been obsessed with since the moment I saw it here, on this thread! @burgermeister and I share our passion for old school Porsche's, and I've always loved this style in the 917 racecars, and then the howling V10 Carrera GT! When I saw that he makes these for 911's, and made a one-off for his Civic Hatch I immediately messaged him because I NEEDED IT! So much so that I got both styles from Frank ?

Since I have a large outreach in the 10th Gen Civic community, Frank has graciously allowed me to offer it on my website, but before you click keeping reading below and enjoy the pictures :)

I chose the predominantly Cherry version (Darker) for myself, and gave @Thusee the predominantly Maple (Lighter) version to rock on his Si. At first I tried how it looks with the Boot, and the Carbon version of the steering wheels I carry on my site.

It looked great, but I had a different vision in mind. I switched out to my All Leather Steering Wheel for a subtle look, and performed a boot delete. @Thusee and Nima, our friend who's part of the Unity trio can verify that I don't shut up about how perfect this is now ? The car's stored till April, and almost daily I just sit inside and marvel at the two looking and feeling so good together!

Most of us opt for weighted shift knobs that assist with the shifts, but what if we went lighter? Both of these featherweights are 50 grams each, and that means there's a lot more feedback and involvement in each shift since there's very little leverage at the top to assist you. My whole build has been about adding precision and tactility, this is just one of those pieces that did it while looking oh so good! I've posted a lot of details about the history of this style on the product page linked up top and below, but you really just have to already know and love the looks to appreciate the purpose and significance!

Again, thank you @burgermeister for handcrafting these wonderful creations! CivicX community, hope you equally love these! Frank is preparing the first small production batch for me as we speak ? I will have 6 Cherry (Darker), and 4 Maple (Lighter) available!

Do you have a link to the red turbo decal on your dash?

Custom Wrinkle Red Shift Solutions Co. TR Knob. 470 grams painted in wrinkle red, the H pattern is in exactly the same font as the oem shift knob. I switched it out to protect my original knob and the weighted feel of the shifter allows for really smooth and crisp shifts. SSCO killed it with this one.

That's a great price compared to a lot of the knobs from other companies.

How does the texture feel?
Texture feels great, the shifter grips really well. Its a very high quality wrinkle powder coat especially for the price. It also doesn't heat up as much as the oem shifter under the sun so you won't burn your hands.
