The price for this one makes sense but its close to 200k miles.

Dang why the hell is this car so overpriced...

edit:
Okay this one is close to me. It's got 112k miles for $9k

Rarity and it’s very coveted. Prior to the 10th gen, the RSX Type S was the closest thing we got to an Integra Type R in the US. It’s a true JDM car that signifies everything Honda/Acura used to stand for. These are collectors cars now, so that’s why they’re priced so high.

I dont think they are collector cars right now, but i think their value will hold very well given that they are rare find. Especially if its low miles and stock. im sure the companies priced them this way for a reason. Theyre probably anticipating the possible increase in value in the future. People use this engine for swaps all the time.. trading base 10th gen cvt new for a factory built vtec k series in good condition seems worth it from this perspective lol

Yeah its the 2006 one too so it's got the K20Z1 engine which is actually 210 hp...
210 was on the old measurement, 201 HP is the on the current SAE standard.

I like the old RSX-S, but I see no reason to spend anywhere near 16K for one. Doubly so if you actually going to be driving it on any regular basis.

I thought the 2005-06 ones had the k20z1 with 210 hp and 2002-04 had k20a2 with 200 hp Would you do $9k for 112k mi 2004 type-s in good condition? Like as a side fun car?

Check this out its pretty close to me too..

Pretty much all of the pre 2005 Honda motors would be rated lower on the current standard.

05-06 RSX-S went from 210 to 201, pre facelift RSXS went from 200 to 190'ish, etc

Ehh an 8th Gen SI would be cheaper. It also would be cheaper to mod and comes with an LSD (unlike the RSX-S).

Holy crap thats too much. I even overpaid for my '14 SI a few months ago at $15k. That price for the rsx-s is ludicrous.

OP,
Its funny bc I have been thinking the same thing - since I was considering a CTR (just tired of the ADM and other BS) - the RSX Type S is kinda high on the list if I were to find one that was very clean. I figured I would daily it - buy one slightly over a 100k on the ODO and pretty much keep it stock and replace it with better after market parts as things break. But....$15-16k seems like a lot especially if you are going to be making it your daily. I am on the page of if I were to find a clean one for around 10k - I would probably look to do it and then mod my current car without fear of only having ONE car. Good luck with your search

I don' know Im not sure if it would be cheaper honestly. A lot of 8th gen si's with similar price range usually have higher mileage.. so far from me just looking right now. Honestly they both seem similar enough in performance. si probably has the better handling though as well as an LSD. Interior/exterior is always subjective but I honestly prefer the look of the rsx more than the 8th gen. but thats just me.

Yeah an RSX would be the perfect fun side car imo. or the si. (everyone says 8th gen si but I just like the rsx better sorry) Yep a $10k clean stock one is something I'd definitely pay for. Im probably gonna keep my current car as my daily tbh but really considering a 2nd car under $10k. Thanks man you too
