Hi - long time lurker first post...
Looking to get opinions from you all who've installed dp/fp's and exhausts and which you think would be better to install first as $$$ is limited.
What I'm looking at currently:
RV6 DP/FP
Invidia r400 exhaust

Have Civic Si Coupe w/ PRL CAI and soon to be TSP stage 1

DP is the only real thing that gets you extra power so start there. You may find you like the sound enough to not need that catback. Save more money that way.

That's what I was thinking too - thanks,
How do you like 27Won's full system?

It's awesome. Sounds really great and always get some looks. It's a little loud with the windows up, I guess it reverbs a bit cause of the hatch, I'm still happy overall though. That's why I recommended the DP first. It would suck if you got a catback and then it ended up too loud for you with a DP added on.

I'd do the reverse. Get the tuner first and take it from there.

If you want performance, tuner first, then DP, then exhaust for sound.

OP, I interpreted your post as already having a tuner and just buying the new tune later. If you aren't currently tuned then I agree with these two. Tuner before anything.

With TSP stage 1 and a downpipe, you're at very high risk of having your clutch slip.

I would avoid the downpipe until you're prepared to do a clutch.

That was going to be my next question and concern but haven't done enough research on it.

It's that bad on the Si? I'm FBO minus a turbo on TSP1 and my clutch is still perfect.

Lets look at it in another light. Maybe a little simplistic.

If Si and other 10X Gen MT share the same clutch. Si in stock form starts with approx. 20HP more and Hatch with FBO would put it in Si OEM + HP territory while still sharing OEM clutch, along with basic safety margin.

So, if clutch is the same on both platforms, then, if more HP is factor into that safety margin and along with not having the finesse and understand the limitations of operating a turbo with manual clutch, then, there goes the safety margin on both platforms.

Further more, for non-Si having more add on HP without the advantage of OEM design already beefed up Si engine internal is another uphill challenge.

A case of a little is good, more is not necessary better on these eco car design. So if not done with restraint, might end up as a disaster statistic among gtman's reliability survey.

Good luck!

FBO + Turbo swap on stock clutch. No slip

It's totally driving style and luck as far as clutch goes

It's mostly luck, much less driving style. It's a lottery if they assembled your clutch right.
