So I don't know what happened but this morning my clutch in my 2018 Civic SI has began to slip...
The weird thing is that the car has an aftermarket Clutch Masters FX400 clutch that was installed at 4,000 miles.
I did purchase this car second hand at 6500 miles and have been driving it since.
My car today has 23,xxx miles and the fact that the clutch is slipping now has me concerned.
I've been driving manual cars for years and have never had an issue with a clutch slipping or going bad
So for my first question, is this normal and what would cause this? (no I don't ride the clutch or dumb the clutch)
Second question is where is the best, most affordable place to get a clutch installed?
I called the dealer this morning (for a good laugh) and they quoted me $2,200 for just the parts and another $1700 for the labor... I mean this is a HONDA after all, not a BMW or Mercedes...
Im not too sure what to do right now? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
thanks everyone
