Good evening all, I’m relatively new to the FK8, I just switched from a WRX and I have a few questions.

Im planning on getting a set of Enkei TS-5 18x9.5 et45 wrapped in PS4S 265 40R 18 running on Swifts Spec-Rs.

My questions are:

1. Will it rub with only me on the car? What about fully loaded?
2. Will I have to roll my fenders?
3. Will this setup clear the Brembos?
4. Shall I go with 35R instead of 40R or 255 instead of 265?
5. Will it sit flush?
6. I understand that the ride will be a little harsh when compared to stock but I’m not concerned about that, do you foresee any other issues having this in mind?

Note: I do not, nor I plan to track the car.

TIA.

Lots of threads in here regarding swifts and that wheel size you want to run. Most setups are using 265/35/18 or 255/40/18 and "most' say they don't rub on Swifts.

40 series will be too tall IMO. 265/35 seems to be the gold standard on an 18x9.5 wheel. +45 offset shouldn’t have any issues lowered on Swift with you and passengers in the car. I would recommend folding the front fender tab near the corner light just to be safe.

From most of the Type R's in our gallery running 18x9.5 +45s are running with 265/35 r18's without having to Roll the fenders or pull the liners. They report having 0 issues with rubbing or scrubbing even at full turn, Attached to this post is a couple of photos for reference from our gallery that are running different wheels with the same widths and offset and they fit flush! :D
