Nope, if the belt is not cracked and look good, you don't need to replace. These are not like the old "V" belts.Does the belt really need replacement only at 50-60k miles?
There is no expensive damage if it breaks. You're thinking of timing belt, this is a timing chain on this car.I will replace mine a 100K looking good or not
1-At 100k it is about time IMO
2-Not expensive
3-In case of breaking ; expensive damage

Could be kinda expensive if not caught right away. You wont have a water pump to circulate the coolant and could lead to a head gasket failureThere is no expensive damage if it breaks. You're thinking of timing belt, this is a timing chain on this car.
Easy to spot, not water pump, no A/C and no alternator, all kind of lights on the dash..Could be kinda expensive if not caught right away. You wont have a water pump to circulate the coolant and could lead to a head gasket failure
You'd be surprised. The Infiniti 3.0t is notorious for shredding serpentine belts and a lot of people have had head gasket and even turbo failures due to the coolant not circulating.Easy to spot, not water pump, no A/C and no alternator, all kind of lights on the dash..
Nothing like a timing belt failure
if you say so, you must be right...lolYou'd be surprised. The Infiniti 3.0t is notorious for shredding serpentine belts and a lot of people have had head gasket and even turbo failures due to the coolant not circulating.
Nope, the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt. The serpentine belt does NOT drive the water pump on the 10th gen civic. The serpentine belt only drives the alternator and a/c compressor.
The TIMING CHAIN drives the cams and the water pump.
Ahh nothing like typing in CAPS to show your confidence just to be proven wrong.Nope, the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt.
