Unfortunately the hood latch is in a very different spot. I had this exact carbon hood on my touring hatch and it wouldn't work on the R. If you wanted to do hood pins and remove the latch you could

So long as you follow the advice above then yes, it does already have pre cut holes from the factory for where your pins should be so it is just a matter of drilling through.

It does make for a more aggressive look As well as an opportunity for dress up hardware in a choice color to really pop.

Definitely. I didn't use hood pins in my setup because I got lucky with the fit on mine, was perfect. But for most I would say out of safety it is a good idea. Also be aware you will have to rewire the wiper fluid.

Wait wait wait. OP you have a FK7 right?? Not a type R?

That comment threw me off for some reason. This will fit any non Type R. I had a FK7 and sold my same exact hood to a guy with an Si sedan and helped him install. Fit perfect.

It took me about 5 minutes to install with my buddy (Excluding the wiper fluid hookup) It is not as intensive as you think.

I have an FC1, a 2017 honda civic si SEDAN... would this fit, without hood pins?

Also, is the scoop real, or for show?
