How often do you change coolant?
I googled and many sites say 30,000 miles. My 2018-SI is now almost 30K miles. I am going in next week for an oil change, maybe I will ask them to change the coolant as well,

Just wait until the relevant sub item (5?) on the maintenance minder comes up. I think its 30k miles or 2 years.

Mileage of my car is 30K miles now. Because of COVID, I did only 4.5K miles since my last oil change (Jan23-2020).

MM now says my remaining oil life is 50%. I plan to go in next week to change the oil, I am thinking to replace the coolant at the same time.

I know that after an oil change, the mechanic would reset the MM. Is there anything they have to do after the coolant change?

That sounds excessive. Most of my vehicles have been every 7-10 years or 100k miles. I'd just follow the maintenance minder for when it says to change the coolant.

There's some contention over the process. A lot of places do a 'drain and fill' and others do a flush. I have always done the flush as it blows out any particulates and sediments that may have formed. It's more expensive but worth it, I believe. Which one is better? If done regularly, might be a toss up...

I called my local Honda dealership.
1st coolant maintenance : 175K KM (108K miles)
Afterward: every 80K KM (50K miles)

So, still a long way to go for me.

Modern coolants last a long time. If you bring it to the dealer and tell them to change it at 30k, there is a VERY good chance that they won't change it and charge you for the change anyway.

At least wait until 60k.

I had a 2003 Accord which used the same coolant as the Civic. The manual stated change first time at 110K miles and Q 80K miles after.

I might do it at 100Kmiles at earliest.
