Wondering if anyone here is running a scangauge ii with xgauge? Can’t seem to find a link for the xgauge codes for our cars? Looking for IA temp, boost, engine temp, oil temp.

Got this reply in January for my 2018 Civic Sport 6 Spd
The 2018 Honda models do not report coolant temperature or intake air temperature the standard OBDII way anymore. In order to monitor these sensors you will need to enter an XGauge code. XGauge is a standard feature on the ScanGaugeII that allows you to monitor additional sensors. Please try the following XGauges for coolant temperature and intake air temperature:

Coolant Temperature 1 (Degrees Fahrenheit)
TXD: 33F10167
RXF: 044105670000
RXD: 3008
MTH: 00090005FFD8 (00010001FFD8 for Celsius)
NAME: CT1

Coolant Temperature 2 (Degrees Fahrenheit)
TXD: 33F10167
RXF: 044105670000
RXD: 3808
MTH: 00090005FFD8 (00010001FFD8 for Celsius)
NAME: CT2

Intake Air Temperature Alternative (Degrees Fahrenheit)

I wonder if that IAT is pre turbo or post intercooler. I also wonder if theres a way to enter another xgauge for whichever one it isn't.

The two coolant temps appear to be pre-radiator and post radiator, as one raises to 180F and the other languishes around ambient temperature until I spend time idling at full operating temp.

I have only used CT1 which appears to be coolant temp before the radiator. When fully warmed up it sits at about 175 deg and holds steady until the engine is loaded to positive boost pressure (climbing hills, bridges) cools down quickly on the descent back to 175. Max temp I have ever seen is 190 last summer.
Definitely slow to warm up in the winter. Driving a very conservative 30 mph (25-30% LOD) does not warm the engine to operating temp after 5 miles.
Operation to highway speeds does bring temp up quickly to 175 deg(>40 mph).
Let me know how yours reads.

Just a heads up for anyone looking, there's no way to get oil temp or pressure readings without installing those sensors yourself.

An update for some of you who used ScanGauge before 2018 and intend to have oil dilution recall done. After PCM and AC unit update my ScanGauge stopped showing CWT (coolant temperature from basic gauges). I had to switch to XGauge CT1 described by billyalice above.

As a follow up, the intake air temperature X-Gauge code posted above is for MAF or pre-turbo/intercooler intake temps.

Pre-Turbo/MAF Air Temp:

I found the post-IC temp readout with some experimentation.

Post-Intercooler Air Temp:
TXD: 33F10168
RXF: 054106680000
RXD: 4008
MTH: 00090005FFD8 (00010001FFD8 for Celsius)
NAME: ICT

I found it by studying how the RXD changed between variants of the same type of reading - I was testing variants until one with a realistic looking readout came up, then drove around to test. Most did not change in a way that made sense for intake air readings.

Eventually I tried this variant. It started out near identical to the other pre-turbo MAF reading, so I drove around and observed it rising in tandem with boost and slowly re-converging with the MAF reading when cruising out of boost or idling.

Seems legit, I'm happy to be able to observe this reading finally!
