I don't buy that for autocrossing or even track work where some low speed corners are involved. On a cool night, I have traction issues in first gear bone stock with high throttle input even already rolling. With a stage 1 tune, it will be useless in first and second gear, especially in corners without some serious torque limitation in the tune. Of course you can modulate that out with your right foot, but autocross is 95% first and second gear.

I have also seen some of these tunes that have pretty crappy curves that just fall off and die above 5500rpm.
Have you upgraded wheels and tires yet? Get some sticky 265/35/18s and it’ll help a lot.

255/40/18s en route.
I’m not going to lower the car and was concerned it might look like a monster truck with 265/35 being shorter than stock. 255/40 will decrease wheel gap 10mm vs. 265/35. Pretty crazy.

But leaving ECU stock and no bolt on mods planned at this time.

What tire did you go with? Should make a solid difference for traction if it's a sticky one and not cold out

I got the new Bridgestone S007A. Super excited to try them out.
Agree with the point on the cold.
