Was it ever objectively decided which down pipe is better between the two?

Rv6 doesn’t have a front pipe. If you are talking about downpipes, the differences are: 2.5 inch piping vs 3 inch. Rv6 can re-use the heat shield. Both have pros and cons. Neither is a bad purchase, so it’s totaly up to you. If you decide later on that you are going to upgrade the turbo, the Prl downpipe is probably the one you’ll want. Both are quality pieces.

Edited my post I meant down pipe* I like the build quality better on the rv6 with the cast sections, vband clamp, ability to use stock heat shield, & option to add a ceramic coating.

Actually the RV6 is 3 inch too with a removal 2.5 inch to attach to a 3 inch front pipe

RV6 is not full 3 inch, look again. It reduces to 2.5 inch, if you want optimum flow you would want it to be all the same diameter.

Kind of, was not 100% specific. Also where did you get the pictures? I was not aware they had a 3 inch front pipe section that connects to the downpipe. If they do, I’d rather have the full 3 inch RV6 set up.

I have an RV6. The build quality is excellent, no CEL with catless downpipe thanks to the included defouler, and the brackets allowing you to use the OEM heat shields are a nice addition.
