This turbo is the route I want to take but I’m worried about my transmission. Any problems on the track with this? Is it too much for our stock transmission on the track? I don’t plan on tracking much maybe a hand full of times a year. With a lot of spirited driving.

I can’t speak on tracking since I never have but I do a lot of spirited driving and have had no issues as of yet. I think that would come down to how aggressive your tune is & not the turbo itself.

So pretty. At what RPM are you guys spooling these? I think I've seen peak torque come in around 5-5.5k on dynos
Thats up to you - my peak torque comes in at 6k but full boost (32psi) hits at 4400 - we can make it come in earlier but why? You risk stock rods commanding a bunch of boost down low only to spin the wheels in most cases.

You can run tr2s with this turbo and have full power from 4k to 8200rpm and make a peak of 630-640whp pretty easily. Most guys wont even have the fuel to max this turbo out anyway. Spools fast, has the lungs to rev and wont choke up like the smaller stuff.

I think most guys who want to stay stock bottom end with amazing spool will be very happy with the R660 - its easily the best all arounder/daily turbo you can tune from 480whp to 640whp+ to suit your needs and grow with your goals as you crave more.

I remembered my password finally and have catching up on things. I have had this turbo for two years now and tracked it a ton and besides the original diaphragm failure that has since been resolved, it has taken all of the punishment and not even gave a notice of issues. The transmission has been fine but I am not pushing over 400hp, so the stress is pretty low.

Got a dyno? Idk if I've seen an R660 below 400hp

I'd have to dig through some folders that have my NASA classing stuff or email, given I only have the Hondata fuel system upgrade and turbo, there wasn't a lot of room to push past that range on 91. I do more on E50 but I rarely run that due to classing.
