Anyone knows when or where can we buy the r710 rv6?
R710 was just a prototype and didn't do very well. We are working on a different version now.

Never lol, its not going to be released, maybe some other version, but the r710 from what ive heard is not coming out
We have something even bigger in the works.

Ever get that anti-surge housing they have been talking about for over a yr now??
Still refining the design. We are on revision 3 now.

@RV6 any faster spooling turbo for the street in the mix?
R660 spools very fast - if you want something that makes less power and spools like stock the Kuro is out there. The R660 is easy to drive and spools like a g25-660 - very quick. Stock spool is annoying and overloads tires mid corner on small throttle corrections.

Kuro vs MHI? Does MHI also spool like stock?

They are on the smaller td04 sized center cartridges so they are very similar with smaller Kuro probably being slightly quicker but when your making over 400ftlbs of torque- lightning fast spool down low = wheelspin. I hated stock turbo on ethanol as 409/434 came on instantly and you have to be very careful with throttle inputs or you'll just roast the tires, push wide and upset the car. The way my car acts now is like stock tune on steroids - easy to add throttle down low, midcorner and just rocket out of corners - much more confidence to push tp the edge.

The baby turbos feel punchy around town but when the hammer drops the larger ones just walk away obviously. The most important thing to me is the RV6 can rev to the moon and flow whatever you throw at it - I still have to test cams and anti surge but I'm really hoping we hit 640-650whp with it ....on stock bottom end I can't ask for much more with this kind of spool and crazy top end. They did a great job given the limited space they had to work with - still very happy I made the switch.

I see that the last post was back in Jan 2024.
Any eta on that anti-surge?

I literally just bought this from your website. I just read it didn't have anti surge. Otherwise I could of waited more. I'd prefer to not install it and for an exchange for the revision 3.

They are on revision 3 of the anti-surge, not the turbo. When the anti surge inlet comes out you will be able to add it to your turbo.

@RV6 Hey Rich ,

Have you heard any issues with your BPV installed throwing P2261 ?

I have turbo installed and every so often I get the P2261 code to trigger a CEL (every 1k miles)

not sure if an issue or something else going on or delay with the combination of the Pracworks Mani.

Fault is cleared for now, and code hasn’t returned, will keep an eye on it.
Alternatively could also trying running a direct higher grade vacuum line from BPV to Manifold.

fyi: this was same turbo where you sent me a new coolant hose line to turbo (Thanks for that).

So I hit up Richie from rv6p. When the new revision comes out, it's not going to just be an add on. You would need to send your turbo in for an upgrade and also purchase a new elbow. Luckily for me, my turbo hasn't been installed yet. So it looks like I'll be shipping it back for the upgrade.

Here is a direct quote from the email he replied to me.

"We are still in the testing stages of the AS housing. We should have them available in about a month if all goes well. However we have decided not to sell just the housing. The turbo will have to be sent in for the upgrade. You will also need to buy our inlet pipe elbow as the AS housing is a full 3" and bigger than anything on the market. More details will come soon.

Regards

Rich"

This is extremely disappointing. I understand possibly needing to verify ownership, and making it more than the AS housing also makes sense

But in my opinion, the additional work on their part, and the additional work required to pull the entire turbo and not just the housing; as well as shipping costs (whomever bears those) isn't a value add.

Unless there is something I am totally missing, i would 10/10 times not want the increase cost for something that is a few minute swap in my own shop.
