If you are having trouble making and holding boost check your bypass valve diaphragm. Especially if you are getting a p2261 code. We had a turbo come back today with a prematurely worn out bearing. Turns out the diaphragm had a massive 1" tear allowing boost to leak back into inlet. Boost leaks like this will over spin the turbo since there is no load to maintain shaft speed.

We are working on a diaphragm less piston based bypass valve.

Just something to look out for.

It is all about to monitor your cars , all
My customers send logs after races , testing etc . Keep your car monitoring. If you don’t seen the turbo efficiency, something is bad.. could be boost leak , vacune hoses etc . Or this ..

any more info on the BPV @RV6?
I have yet to get my car back together (I had to get my head drilled out because of broken bolts while installing my BETA R660) so if I could go right for a new BPV or even the antisurge - hell... why not?

@seselectronics -is my tuner and sounding board for my build as well.

I wanted to share for some people asking if the turbo smart compact fits .
Just in case if you already have it ..
RV6 will be releasing the new diverter valve , but that I leave to them .,

here some more R660.. this power was made at 30 psi peak power , on the street. I’ve seen around 31~32 peak .

I feel I won't need one of those bypass valves....but how can I say no to something that looks that good!
Whether it needs it or not It’s cheap insurance. $169 bypass valve that won’t rip is cheaper than a $2500 turbo lol

so, I know this isn't a common thing to do to a turbo you still haven't installed (no excuses) - but I decided to coat my turbo with Cerakote C-series (Glacier Black "C-7600" and Glacier Titanium "C-7900" respectively)
as my sprayer had the wrong nozzle; I used a preval spray kit -won't again, will just order new nozzles.

also attached is the RV6 - BPV, attached with some GR5 Titanium hardware.
