There are sensors associated with both of those parts (the downpipe and intake) which is why you'd want a tune with those. After the air leaves the downpipe in the CTR, it's no longer metered so it makes no difference whether you tune or not (in terms of the ECU's concern of throwing lights). You can still tune it since you could theoretically be moving more air out, but it's not required.only reason I ask is because my Sti required tune when added downpipe (catted/catless) and intake...
