So I have a stock type R , I recently just completed installation of hondata fuel system upgrade. The install video got wiped due to some formatting issues with the camera sucks :(. No one has a detailed guide on the install for this and it was a pain. I will have an rv6 down pipe & front pipe coming middle of may.

What flash pro tune option to use for the rv6 down pipe i do not see one listed in calibrations menu? If none do i just pick any other down-pipe and should get same results?

Just pick PRL, it makes no difference. The wizard just picks one of the handful of basemaps.

A downpipe is just a downpipe to the base map tunes. But there is RV6 stuff there if you want to get specific (it’s what I have). But when you click it in the wizard, it’s basically just disables the secondary O2 sensor in the modifications.

It doesn’t even really do that, it just picks one of the basemaps that already disables it. The wizard doesn’t customize anything.

Sounds good. It makes sense wizards just point you in the direction of a specific basemap. when I put the 93 oct tune with OEM dp, I happened to see the box for the disable O2 sensor was unchecked in the modifications.

Thank you for the detailed break down thought it did more so need to really go to a nearby tunner then for any real results. Picking between bainstunning, hybridworks or speedelement. choices choices.

Remote tuning is a perfectly good (and usually better) option too. The basemaps do give you a fair bit of power though, they would work fine with your setup. There’s very, very little difference in tuning needs between manufacturers and most parts don’t really change a tune at all.

I wrote a (very technical) blog post about it here: https://fk8.clinic/blogs/type-r-tech/air-charge
