Not a fan but this is a very polarizing product. Not a fan based on feedback from a very trusted shop that I had a lot of work done on a turbo car previously (Evolution X)

I've been running Royal Purple for almost 2 years and haven't had any issues. I did some research ahead of time as I always do and there are some people out there that say switching back to another oil after using Royal Purple can cause damage to your engine. So my solution is to just keep using it. Like I said I've had no issues

I’ve had good experiences with Royal Purple. I used to run their XPR oil in my Saleen and my 1LE Camaro for track days. Always got the job done. But I also believe for the most part, oil is oil. Rotella T6 did just as well in the Camaro. Wear metals were low and the engine ran smooth.

there’s a guy on YouTube, Project Farm. He did an interesting little series of tests with a lot of oils, and the results in come cases were surprising.

Send your used oil out for an oil analysis. That’s the only way to tell. Someone running it in a Camaro is useless info for your Honda engine.

For transmission fluid -use OEM.

Lol that’s not true at all. Don’t spread misinformation.

Just use it. You and your car will be fine. Remember… everyone has an opinion. Royal Purple has good products and they’ve been used over and over by many people in many different cars… turbo included. They’re just a bit more pricey than some of the competitors but the level of protection should be worth it.

IMHO, there's better oil out there for much less money. IIRC, some of their oils lack the API/ILSAC seal, which the owner's manual recommends. Honda Oil is quite good in my opinion.

RP is a group 3 oil that costs the same as a group 4 oil. Better choices for the same or even less of a price.
