No, Tunerview app requires google services to be installed. Currently you can not install it.

I heard that tunerview might change the way it does the purchasing. So it wouldn't need google service

Update to the OP as someone asked me this today: rooting the radio does not affect Apple Carplay.

The issue is that connecting the first time using Apple Carplay appears to be buggy, so if it does not recognize your phone keep trying and eventually things will work. I had trouble but an iphone before we rooted the radio, so it is not the rooting process.

Wait soooo does this work on the regular radios for the 16-17 civics? You know since the sport hatch and sport hatch touring have different radios

Some good news that you will be able to install this on the 2018 Civics without the developer mode method. There's a 2nd method that has not been released to the public and it's installed by the browser

That sounds awesome. Lucky '18 owners. Too bad I have a '17.

16-17 Can be done now since you have access to the developer mode
Oh I know. Just sounded like the browser install is way simpler.

Only cost $18 if you want the pro version.
It's web based and auto installs for you over wifi

Yeah that's it. We have to wait for the link and password to the site correct?
