Curious to see if anyone else is running this combination. I live in an apartment and park in our parking lot so I'm hoping to avoid being too excessively loud.

I've only managed to find one video on youtube of a person running this combo and it sounds a bit loud so want to see any other civicx members running this and what they think.

I'm running catless with a Type-R exhaust and it's not too much louder than stock on cold start. Otherwise it's pretty quite daily driving.

I drove beside an Si with that setup a while back. I'd say it was a little quieter than my muffler delete, if anything. Not sure about cold starts. It does sound like a tin can though.

Maybe guess the Si exhausts are raspy. My brother drove my car after I did some shifter upgrades and it wasn't raspy at all when he got on it. Here's a cold start on my setup. Keep in mind that this was in my old 1 car garage, so it sounds louder than it actually is.

It definitely is. Eman went from a catless downpipe w/ stock catback, to a Type-R catback, and it's so much better. It sounds quieter on video too, but I've never heard it in person so I don't wanna say.

Oh ok. Yea the tone is a lot deeper in person than can be heard in video.

Is it a bad sound though? Will probably be running only a catless downpipe without exhaust for a few months and drive a decent amount

Its raspy forsure but you may like it. One way to figure out forsure is just to go for it.

Do you know if adding a better quality resonator like ultra quiet would get rid of the raspiness?
Yup definitely I have a friend that runs it. I got a type r exhaust now and it has 2 resonators so I have 0 rasp
