So I had the rare moment of being the only person in my car today and decided to finally put the car through its paces. So I threw (pushed the button) the car into sports mode and took it to the red line.
So I turned off the major roads and back into the neighborhoods and back to my normal pace. When I pulled into my garage my entire car and garage filled with the rotten eggs smell of a bad catalytic converter. I've NEVER had this problem with any other car I've driven (raced both NA and turbo cars). This is the first time I've given the car a good hard drive. Didn't race it or bounce off the red line at all. There is just a tick over 6k on the odometer. I haven't tried to reproduce the event again, but the smell is definitely lingering inside the car.
So....anyone else get this? And does anyone think this is something I need to address/keep an eye on?
