That Thule rack is a really good looking rack. I don't have an R, I have a Si coupe and struggled to find a rack to fit. Ended up with a Seasucker which in hindsight I love more than the Yakima rack on my accord, comes on and off so quickly and is way quieter. Only negative is that I couldn't carry something like a Kayak with it without some other attachments but since I don't Kayak it works for me. Would work great on a Type R too.

Here is mine, everyone was looking at me on the freeway with 2 bikes on the roof. Maybe It doesn't look safe. And people kept a distance from me which is a good thing.

Anyone have any idea how this isholding up for the long term? I’m thinking about a Yakima rack with a bike rack, kayak carrier and a fishing rod rack for fishing/outdoors days just wanna make sure it isn’t gonna mess up the car.

I've been wanting to do this since I got my car, the only thing stopping me is I have a big pedal kayak and I'm afraid of denting the pillars/roof from the weight or scratching the paint from trying to lift and mount it on top of the car by myself.

How is the roof supporting the weight of the kayaks/bikes?

How are you loading the kayaks, have you tried loading a kayak flat instead of on its side?

The roundbar does great with the wind fairing. I honestly don't notice any sound unless the kayak holders are attached. When the jaylow kayak holders are on you get a nice whistle from the wind, lol.

Hey just wanted to know, did you need to purchase any hardware for the wind fairing?
