So here in the small town of Wichita Falls TX, there isn't much options as far as installers go. I found 1 in my town, as in only 1 installer and none other, who installs Roadwire leather. Never heard of it and inquired about Katzkin. After a 20 minute rant about how it's "cheap Chinese commie garbage that he would never install in any car" I still decided to go to him for my leather upgrade. out the door with install was just over $1500. His mother even custom did my rear door panels for free because when everything was done she said the rear doors were ugly plastic and didn't match.

They look like those seat covers you can find at auto zone. Maybe after being cleaned / adding some conditioner to them they will lay down and not show creases? The arm rests look great tho.

Of course the installer would say that he will never install Katzkin in any car, he sells another brand. His profit margins will shrink. Katzkin also operates out of CA, and I highly doubt they buy their leather from overseas.

As said above, hopefully the leather will fit better over time because that doesn't look like a $1500 job.

Unfortunately brand new leather comes out looking loose and takes a while to shrink. If you look at most of the owners on the forum who got Katzkin installed, their photos show the looseness of the material. these photos were taken over a week ago and the driver seat leather looks tighter already. The more it's utilized the faster it shrinks it seems in my case.

I let him rant cuz he gave me a good deal even though I know Katzkin would have been just fine but RoadWire leather has great reviews and have been around since the 70's if I remember correctly. Not saying this don't look loose it obviously does but he did show me his personal vehicle and customer vehicles that have shrunk and the leather looks great. Trust I was a little hesitant with his psyco-rant but the leather is soft and I don't slide everywhere like I thought I was.

As long as you're happy with the result. I agree your photos don't look great but if it's true it breaks in then you got something you're happy with, and if it was your only option in the area then I guess it worked out.

Please post a few more photos as time goes on, I'd like to see what it looks like over time.

It can be a challenge to find options for leather installers in smaller towns, but it's great that you found one that specializes in Roadwire leather upgrades. Even though you inquired about Katzkin, it seems like you made a confident decision to go with Roadwire. It's interesting how passionate the installer was about his preferences! By the way, if you're curious about the process of leather tanning and how it contributes to the quality of leather products, you should check out this informative blog post https://vonbaer.com/blogs/blog/what-is-leather-tanning. It's always fascinating to learn about the craftsmanship behind leather upgrades.
