I have some 215/55R16 Blizzaks I need wheels for. The measured rim width for these is 7" but the range is 6" to 7.5". Can I install the blizzaks on some 16" x 6.5" wheels and be ok? Will there be any cons to using a half inch narrower rim than recommended?

The 6.5-inch width won't pose any safety issue as it falls in line with the recommended rim width range.

A narrower wheel on the suggested rim width range for a tire size may give up some handling but will tend to deliver a cushier ride because the sidewall has more flex. Whereas a wider wheel on the suggested rim width range for a tire size tends to handle and respond better to steering input, but may give up some ride quality due to less sidewall flex. The measuring rim width tends to deliver the ideal blend of both comfort and handling.
