Looks a little weird with that upper portion of the intercooler.. looks like flow would not be that great up in that area??o_O

That's called a stepped design. It's meant to give more surface area on the Intercooler which helps dissipate heat better and allow the Intercooler to fit without modification.

I get the whole stepped idea.. but.. from the pictures on that link it serves no purpose on the car since they didn't go above the front crash bar... what wouldn't they just use the same thickness all the way through... there is obviously room there:hmm:

Unless I'm missing something here...I doubt it.. but it's a interesting design... not the less:drive:

Garbage intercooler, but that my opinion.
true everyone is welcomed to their opinion, based on some reports for Injen intercoolers (youtube video to match) and the lack of PRL's being available for up to 90 days I'm going to take that chance...speaking of which I just purchased it so Ill test to see how much PSI it truly looses once Vit gets to tuning. I've been in this game since 1998 and have had good/bad success with name brand and no name brand turbo's and intercoolers...luck of draw really. I'll be starting a build thread here in a bit on my Si as soon as the parts start coming in

My purchase list so far
prl downpipe set
AF cold air intake
REv9 intercooler
Ktuner V1 (with Vit-tune)
Avid av20 18x9.5 +38
D2 Pro Springs
truhart camber arms

and various other misc stuff.
