I actually contacted both K&N and Fram with no luck, neither one could give me an ETA... (I have the 2.0 LX)

This is news to me, can I get some opinions on the reusable filters? I read comments on the KN site (possible bogus) claiming improved mpg etc, anyone on here get similar results?

I drive pretty aggressive so MPG is not really a factor.. I like the idea of never having the dealer tell me I need a $59 air filter and I've been running K&N filters for over 20 years with no issues.

Looks like the filter plus cleaner and oil will run approx. $60-70? Should pay for itself in a few years I would think?

It's a do-it-yourself job. Engine air filter is like $17. I'm weary of reusable filters in general.

I run a K&N filter for my FZ1 and I appreciate the noticeable HP gains, especially when running a tune. OTOH, I've seen UOAs that show significant increases in silicon (ie dirt) for those running aftermarket filters.
