Picked up my new daily driver on New Years Eve (dec 31st 2020) to provide reliable transportation for the next few years and give my other project a rest from daily driven duties.

I started looking for a sport sedan with the 2.0 Naturally Aspirated port injected motor and the 6 speed manual transmission as I felt it would be the most reliable and longest lasting way to get a 10th Gen Civic for a daily driver I planned on keeping for many years.

It was surprisingly harder than expected to locate a sport sedan with a 6MT but luckily one popped up at a dealer only 7 miles away in a color I liked after looking for a couple months.

Even though it’s my daily driver, I can’t keep any car stock so I plan on doing a few modifications to make it more my own.

I do not plan on doing any motor work as the 2.0 isn’t the platform for that, however I plan on suspension, interior and exterior cosmetic modifications.

Figured I should start now and post the progress as it happens this year 👍🏻🙂

The first modifications for me was to tint the back and side windows (all 15%) as well as vinyl wrapping the chrome window trim. I also used vinyl wrap to black out the front turn signal marker.

Next I chose to make the window pillar posts gloss black, the factory posts between the windows were a very dull almost faded looking black, I much prefer the gloss look. (The sport hatchbacks come with gloss, but the sedans do not unfortunately.)

To protect the carpeting while the car is still new, I decided to install a set of weathertech floor mats for protection.
They fit extremely well, and are very easy to clean which is a bonus. Definitely recommend these!

My Eibach Pro-Kit springs just arrived today. I plan on waiting until I decide on a new set of wheels before installing them all together at once. Still narrowing down my options there but have a pretty good idea of what look I’m after with the wheels 🙂

Lastly I added some carbon finish pieces to the steering wheel:

I made sure to leave plenty of silver trim on the dash, doors, center console, steering wheel, etc as to have a nice balance. There are a couple more pieces for the doors and lower dash I plan on adding as well. I was able to get all of these pieces for $97 on eBay which wasn’t too bad 👍🏻

Car has sat in the garage for the last week while I was away, a full exterior/interior detail will happen tmrw! Car is currently at 1800 miles.

Can't wait to see them. I've been eyeballing them on ebay for a while. Just haven't ordered them yet.

I was never a fan of the “HDMI” style exhaust tip on the sport sedan (I felt that should be an SI exclusive) so I installed a 3 1/2 inch dual tip today. 👍🏻

I've been looking at changing the tips instead of doing a full exhaust. For now anyways. What muffler did you use?
